Raw Almonds: $5.49/pound
Raw Almond Butter: $12.49/pound
Now why exactly was I so hesitant to make almond butter at home? Silly silly me.

Take some raw almonds, I used about one cup, and throw them in the food processor for 12 minutes, 6 minutes if your almonds are roasted.

Here they are after about 1 minute…

…and after six minutes.

Done and done.
Now how did that Mocha Almond biscotti get in there?! Oopsies.

sweet. i love making my own almond butter. i guess this same method would go for other nuts as well? i’ve never tried it but i hope it works because most nut butters are super expensive!

Mmm delicious. Though I wonder how long the shelf life is on fresh raw almond butter?

Yum! I need to make me some of this (I’m always scared to run my processor longer than 5 minutes, I don’t want to blow it up!)

I kind of feel like a dope now….But it reminds me of the dopey feeling I got when my daughter and I made body scrub (recipe on my site)….

This is so great! One has to put public that you need only organisation to save some money! And this way you are sure there’s no extra E-something!
Great!
